Felt like I was quite the world traveler

Visited the Toulouse-Lautrec and La Vie Moderne: Paris 1880-1910 on Saturday. Had a wonderful time. Felt like I was quite the world traveler. Sure made this winter a bit brighter. Thank you.

The absolute highlight of our exhibition schedule!

I assume by now that the Deco Japan exhibition has filled up completely?  If not, the museums don't know what they are missing.  It was truly wonderful and the absolute highlight of our exhibition schedule this past year!  Thanks so much for developing that exhibition and the beautiful catalogue which is such a contribution to the field....  It really was a spectacular exhibition all around and everybody that saw the show loved it, and almost universally were thrilled to learn about such a sophisticated art movement that none of us knew existed.  Terrific job.

 Andrew Connors, Curator of Art
Albuquerque Museum of Art and History

I just wanted to write and thank you

I just wanted to write and thank you for bringing us the opportunity to present this remarkable show ["DECO JAPAN: Shaping Art and Culture 1920-1945"] here in New York. Not only did we garner universally favorable reviews and attract more than 12,500 visitors - a high figure by our modest standards - best of all we delighted and, especially, surprised a large number of people who had never realized that Japan, too, had something akin to a Jazz Age.

Joe Earle, Vice President & Director
Japan Society Gallery

Enormously grateful to ASI

We are enormously grateful to ASI for the care and trouble that was taken over the loan exhibitions from Burghley House to The United States. It is not an exaggeration to say that ASI was responsible for a complete turn around in Burghley’s fortunes as a time when we despaired of the future of the many fine collections of works of art in the house. We certainly could not have guessed that, with the help of ASI, our treasures would be seen by so many appreciative people throughout America and that the Burghley name would become so well know.

Daughter of the 6th Marquess of Exeter,

Former Director of the Burghley Family Trust

Everything surrounding it has been the best experience

Thank you again, Lynn, for this brilliant exhibition. Everything surrounding it has been the best experience. I look forward to all our future collaborations.

You can book anything

If ASI can book an exhibition of medieval alabasters in the midst of economic crises, you can book anything!

A rich feast, indeed!

The scholarly activities connected with the Alabasters exhibition are a rich feast, indeed!  It's wonderful that you've managed to arrange the show to coincide with the International Medieval Congress -- couldn't be a better fit.

It was a beautifully assembled exhibition and we were very privileged to show it.

The Center has been enormously gratified by the extremely warm reception the exhibition [Paintings from the Reign of Victoria: The Royal Holloway Collection, London] received throughout the university community, in the press, and from our many visitors.  I am writing to thank you very much indeed for making the project possible in the first place by including us in the Royal Holloway Collection’s tour of the United States.  It was a beautifully assembled exhibition and we were very privileged to show it.

Amy Meyers, Director
Yale Center for British Art

Now I am BUZZING!

A copy of the kimono show catalogue just arrived and I am knocked out!! I thought I was excited about this exhibition before, but now I am BUZZING! The book is beautiful, the kimono are ravishing, and this show is going to be a stunner! Can’t wait to see it in Philadelphia this spring.

The book is certainly one of the most striking art books that we have seen

One of the most beautiful books to have come to our attention recently is MURAQQA’, a catalogue of Mughal art with extraordinary reproductions. This catalogue accompanies a show that just opened at the Sackler Gallery this year.… The book is certainly one of the most striking art books that we have seen.

The book is gorgeous

I just received the F & Gs and all I can say is wow! The book is gorgeous. I am very impressed. They come at a good time too as I will be heading to the London Book Fair next week and will take along some signatures from the book to show to our UK and Canadian reps.
