The fireplace below has a base of black and black reflective with firestones on top.
The fireplace below has a bed of Bronze with Amber, Yellow Amber and Dark Red Orange. The Fire Shapes finished it off.
The fireplace below is in Hope Ranch, Santa Barbara, California. First we installed the double "H" burner.
Then we pour 2" of crushed lava rock as a base over the burners.
Now we pour the Black Magic (you'll soon see why).
The we add one match and poof, BLUE FLAMES!
The we start to add 8" Fire Balls
A total of 32 8" FireBalls in natural color were added
The customer had a green theme and so we topped it off with our Green coating.
As the evening went on the ambient heat drew the flames higher trough the Fire Balls and the blue was just pure magic. The End!
The three fireplaces below are of Fire Stones and Fire Balls in Los Angeles which were featured in Dwell Magazine. These are before and after pics.
The fireplace below had Starfire installed for a clean simple look.
The fireplace below has a large stack of 4" Fire Balls.
The fireplace below has a base or Stafire with a 18" set of Calico ire Stones, very nice!
The fireplace below has 4" Fire Balls installed in Palm Springs California.
The fire pit below has 4" Fire Balls installed again in Palm Springs, California.
The 4" Fire Balls were placed on a bed of crushed lava rock.
The fireplace below is a direct vent fireplace in Arroyo Grande (Pismo Beach, California). We mounted the back and then attached the face. This surround was with out a perimeter of interior glass. We usually border a 2" band of glass all around the inside edge. We use aluminum for this project.
This is the standard black frame for the fireplace.
Below you can see the back of the surround attached to the fireplace.
Then we just slip the front cover over and done!
The fireplaces below are located in Palm Desert California. These were both filler with crushed lava (3" to 4" each) and then topped with a Bronze base glass. We then added 6" gray Fire Balls. We will explain as we proceed:
This was the outdoor fireplace. 38" "H" burner was installed.
We then poured in about 4" of crushed lava filler.
Then we poured in about 1 1/2" of Bronze base glass.
Then we stacked in the 6" gray Fire Balls. We couldn't get any burning pictures because it was to bright outdoors.
The fireplace below was indoors in the family room. We started with about 3" to 4" of filler (crushed lava). We used a 38" "H" burner again in this fireplace as well.
Then we tested the flame pattern to insure the flames were not hitting the walls.
Then we added the 6" gray Fire Balls to the top of the Bronze base glass.
One very nice family room!
